Yet again, another trinket. Collect another trinket. Yet again, a story, bound to memory. A day of mine, another adventure, another trinket. When all is done, only trinkets remain.
Pins, papers, stickers, hats, medals— Only trinkets remain. Runs, swims, action, win or lose. Only trinkets remember.
Another story lost to time, A blank slate, not real. But trinkets remain.
Take one, leave one. Steal one, hide one. Find one, trade one. Now with soil you are one. The trinkets change hands. The trinkets remain.
One gives joy, a smile, light. One hangs on a wall, gives hope. The maker forgotten, far gone, trinkets remain.
One brings rain. Brings pain. Hidden in plain sight. Looked at least, thought about most. The pain remains. The rain follows.
The trinket knows. The trinket remains.
Gathered by the wind, lost by the waves. A day of mine—adventure, friend— Another trinket. Another trinket added to the wall.
